range of sprinklers

so i just bought a sprinkler (why is is only slightly cheaper than a combine harvester, huh???). Is there a guide out there for how high i should set them up and their range?

The wiki for this game is useless. It has almost no information

I believe it's a roughly 5 x 5 Grid centered on the Sprinkler. I don't think it's changed with the v3.0 Update, but it has to be placed on top of the Pipe (use a T-Pipe pointed up) and should be placed a little above head height. If you're using a Combine, then place it high enough to fit the Combine underneath it, but I'm uncertain if there's a limit on height vs effectiveness. I never used the Combine, so I just placed my T-Pipe, with Sprinkler on top, high enough that I could easily walk under it. Also be aware that water dripping from Pipes and Sprinklers WILL put out the light on a Miners Helm...

Thanks. I believe after some trial and error that you want the sprinkler 5 off the ground (room for 4 pipes under it). This leaves room for the harvester (thats what i measured, i have not bought it yet). Also T pieces are not required. sprinkler just goes on a straight horizontal pope.
