Anvils not working?

Just looking for a little help please!

My Anvil's don't appear to be working.

I've placed the materials on the anvil, then hit the anvil. But nothing happens?

For instance, making a dagger. I've even gone so far as to lining the bar up perfectly on the required slot. I strike to anvil with the blacksmith hammer at every angle. But it's like the anvil never see's the material's on it?

Is this a known bug?

Troubleshooting step one. Did you heat the bar, aka, drop the bar in a furnace without a crucible? It should be "red hot", which is plenty of time to put on the anvil, grab the hammer, and hit it. Even with 3 separate bars.

I'd second @rodelis comment. Make sure you take a Bar of the appropriate material, place it in a Furnace WITHOUT a Crucible for about 15 to 20 seconds of Real Time and make sure it turns a cherry-red color. While that's happening, you can make sure your Anvil is properly configured for the Item you wish to make, the Blacksmith Hammer is available nearby, and place any Gems that are needed first, as they do not need to be heated. Pick up the Bar and place it on top of the appropriate slot. The Bar does not need to line up exactly, just be on top of the slot. One all Bars are in place, grab the Blacksmith Hammer and hit the Anvil. If it just makes a "TING" sound but nothing happens, then at least one of the Bars is not hot enough and needs to heat up for longer. Otherwise, you should get the pictured item on the Anvil.
