Prospector truck pointless?

So i decided to slap the 4k tokens down for the prospecting truck since i had about 40k tokens from various quests including the kings quest. I"m thinking it's a big waste of tokens now, unless i'm missing something. Does this thing really just show you what vein is below you? i thought it would collect it, or something, but it just seems to say "yeah, there's (resource) here", that's it. pretty useless, imo.

It's not as pointless as you think. It shows you where a VEIN of a SPECIFIC Resource is located. When a Miner is placed in a Vein, the chance of GETTING Dirt containing that Vein's Raw Ore is doubled. While Gold and Iron are plentiful enough, if you get a Vein of Cloutium or Corestone, that's VERY valuable...
