Do heavier crystal bars last longer?

I've progressed alot and my factory has litteraly alot of stuff. And most of them need water to run, so I had made a pressure tank and put the shards in it, but the shards last no longer than 7 seconds... What??? Why? so i made a crystal bar this time but it made no diffrence.
So.

Do heavier crystal bars last longer? :

Yes, the bigger the bar, the longer it will run items. I use 40 lbs bars in all my stuff, don't have to replace too often. I have heard a lot of people using 100 lbs bars though. So your preference, but shards alone do not last.

basicly you need ??? lbs of crystals per pressure unit per second. a 1 lbs shard lasts as long as a 1 lbs bar - and a 10 lbs bar lasts 10 times longer. I have 3 seperated mining systems ( T1 - T3 ) and actually I use 500 lbs bars and i can´t remember when I replaced them last time.

btw. a lot of people mention to use a pressure tank every x pipes to keep the pressure high - i wouldnt recommend this. Place pressure tanks only in shortest distance to the machinery - everything else is a waste of crystals. It doesnt matter if there is zero pressure if you dont need high pressure there and except of drills and harvesters everything else will also run with zero pressure without any loss.

I use 5000 for pressure tanks and never look of them again cause so much shards comes from drills. actually more then colotium and corestone ores and there is no other type of use for shards. I put pressure tanks 10-15 pipes long with T2 pipes but when start to use corestone pipes don't need that much pressure tanks. Intake water pipes with 4 intake boosters to much water pressure.
