Require iron bars for weapons and gold bars + cutted gems for jewels.
Choose your craft, put bars on heat fire nearby.
If jewel add gem on anvil tip first.
Drop hot bar on anvil and saw it if needed, into 2 or 3 slices.
Drop the saw and equip the hammer, and click while aiming the anvil.
Your Item is done.
To carry necklace into pan you need it to hit something and enter the pan while vertical or so.
For the sword, rapidly pick up the pan right after the sword enters it, so it freezes into that moment's position.
Second, are you using the correct Hammer? There's the Construction Hammer and the Blacksmith Hammer. The former is used to lock and unlock components placed in and around your Claim. The latter is what's used to construct things on the Anvil. I suspect you may be trying to use the former instead of the latter...
EDIT: The original Discussion Post was from 2022. There have been a number of updates since then and a major upgrade performed to the game itself. Some of the details from the original answer have changed to a degree. The Pan is no longer used, as the Anvil now has specific locations in which the Gem and Ores need to be placed. Now, you need to clearly check the order things are listed on the Quest Scroll, and make certain that the appropriate Ore and/or Gem ends up in the correct spots on the Anvil. A Scroll that list a Necklace as:
- 10.3 Gold
- 97.5 Iron
- 45.8 Emerald
does not equal:- 97 Iron
- 10 Gold
- 45 Emerald
nor does it equal:It MUST have a 10.3 or higher weight Gold Bar placed in the position labeled "1" on the Anvil, 97.5 or higher weight Iron Bar placed in the position labeled "2" on the Anvil, and an 45.8 or higher weight Emerald placed in the position labeled "3" (with the icon of a Gem in it). Notice that the weight MUST be GREATER THAN OR EQUAL TO. A 10.3 weight request will accept anything that is greater than or equal to 10.3 weight. So, 10.3 weight will work. 11 weight will work. 10 will NOT work.
If you have any further issues with this, I'd suggest starting a New Discussion and please include details of what your trying to make. I'd suggest screenshots of the Scroll and the Anvil. Details of how to make screenshots and make them visible in the Discussions is available in Steam Help. You can also probably find it posted online under "how to post a screenshot in Steam"...
