Tier 2 drills vs Tier 1 drills (A TEST)
So here are my findings and add on to my previous post about the drills.

So this test was done with:
40 Tier 1 drills at a cost of 12,000 Iron
14 Tier 2 drills at a cost of 14,000 Iron and 4200 Cloutium

I'm going to put all of my findings in, even though I know we all only care about the cloutium.

40 Tier 1 drills: 20 minutes at max depth in Dreck Quarry
Iron- Weight=17,461 Coins=209,536
Gold- Weight=13,232 Coins=264,647
Shards- Weight=1,679 Coins=NA
Cloutium- Weight=285 Coins=57,049
Emerald- Weight=837 Coins=20,945
Saphire- Weight=757 Coins=18,927
Ruby- Weight=803 Coins=20,082
Onyx- Weight=46 Coins=11,670
Total Weight=35,102 Total Coins=602,856

14 Tier 2 drills: 20 minutes at max depth in Dreck Quarry
Iron- Weight=8,852 Coins=106,228
Gold- Weight=6,634 Coins=132,688
Shards- Weight=963 Coins=NA
Cloutium- Weight=180 Coins=36,005
Emerald- Weight=338 Coins=8,466
Saphire- Weight=426 Coins=10,659
Ruby- Weight=365 Coins=9,131
Onyx- Weight=39 Coins=9,964
Total Weight=17,800 Total Coins=313,141

So As you can see, the cheaper Tier 1 drills, though greater in number by 2.85x they are substantially cheaper and output considerably more.

The game is what it is. I'm not sure I understand why people don't like tests being done on the current state.
... Don't you want to just know? That's why I did the test, and will do future tests.

I mean, I guess if I'm the only person who wants to know I'll just keep it to myself.
I wasn't judging persay. Was merely saying others reading this might perceive it wrongly. Sorry for the confusion.

I'm genuinely curious what the numbers would be though if the overclocking wasn't happening.

Are you positive that Max is going to make them capped at 180? I mean I think that makes perfect sense to me, but are you sure that's the goal for future updates?

If so I was thinking of running a longer test today. I am down to do all iron piping for a group of Tier 1 drills as well.
100% Positive. Can even pull up proof if you'd like, would just take me a minute of snooping.

You're correct, the T1 drill currently does not have a pressure limit, making it work at the same speed as the T2 drill. This is being fixed for the next suggestions update.
Something also to note is that pressure is not effecting harvesters correctly.. also being fixed in the next update.
Thanks for the video :)
Ooooooh, ok. So our Tier 1's WILL be getting nerfed.... hmmm, Yeah I think I'll be doing another test today then and it will include iron pipe tier 1's!
Not terrible sure how much of an impact it would have but I am curious all the same due to cloutium rates. I do know the rates fluctuate base on amount of drills in the system which is another odd factor that's hard to test.

The only thing good about T2 is less lag because of less but heavier physics objects the game has to calculate. Building infrastructure for T2 is kinda a pain in the ass too. Because of that you could have better max output before the game is unplayable with T2 drills.

Yeah I mean for the purpose of getting iron gold shards and cloutium, you're mostly right.

That said, Tier 3(And I think new resources-But this is more a hope of mine than a thing I know) is in the works and balance is coming. Nerfs to tier 1's and buffs to tier 2 will likely be on the way.
