Gem Polisher??

Hello! Anyone else having problems attaching this thing to a conveyor? I have seen videos in which people are able to just slap it right on a conveyor, no fiddling, or whatnot. I can only attach it to a conveyor the is not attached to anything else but a pipe section. How practical is that? In other words, my conveyor section has to be solo, with a pipe underneath it. If it's attached to another conveyor section, it's red no matter what I try. Very frustrating. Water flow seems to not be an issue, just placed with a pipe, and not connected to anything else. Thanks!

I have not had this issue at all. Only issues I've seen is order of operations involved to deal with t2 drills as they are finnicky with belts and pipes nearby.

Wish I had a solution to give.

What I've noticed though, is that they simply do not work on anything but straight conveyors. Also, You maybe have it upside down?

Thanks! No. it's right side up. Finally. I still had to attach it to a separate straight belt tho. Incidentally, what are they for? I get the concept, I mean, but I polished a 25C cut Ruby and weighed it after...still worth 25C and looked no different. I expected sparkling and worth a little more? Polisher is spinning and gems pass through just fine.

I know they have issues in certain configurations, but not placement issues. More like flinging dirt and resources issues. Also pretty sure they are locked on rotational axis to prevent upside down placement, so that might not be the reason. Only rotation issue I could foresee is putting them sideways or trying to merge a belt into their side... But I think the game allows the latter... mostly.

I am ok with placement now and the buffer wheels spin. They just don't seem to do anything. Are the gems supposed to get "shinier" or increase in value slightly? Because mine are no more "polished" in looks and values are unchanged, even after several runs through.

That is the Centering Hook. It's doing what the polisher was doing. It won't attach to a working belt. Gem pic coming up next.
