how do i know the water quality in the pipeline? i dont know how much filters i need

Form my knowledge, 5 filers will protect your equipment so I think each filter do 20/100 in water quality.
5 so I believe is the number.
Edit as fir identify water quality, I do not know any way if there was 1

you only have to repair the filters tho, rather than all of your machines. if you have more than 5 machines, you have fewer things to repair.

5 filter will protect your entire Rig.
But set a valve on a pipe in front of your filters, not after, otherwise the filters will take damage even if you turn the water off.
You can have up to 4 filters hooked to a single piece of pipe, but if you want to build an automated logic repair setup, you will need 5 pipes for 1 hook each.

I have about 20 miners all setup on one water pipe. It's much easier and cheaper to setup auto repair for 5 water filters, than to set it up for 20 miners.

So if you're only dealing with 1 or 2 miners, yeah there isn't much point..... above that and it gets easier for the long term if you plan ahead on how you are going to continue to expand ; and get a 5 water filter + auto repair setup in place early.

My STANDARD Mine setup begins as follows:

• Intake Pipe.
  
• Straight Pipe with a Logic Valve (I eventually wire it into a Switch which I place in a convenient location).
  
• 5 x Straight Pipe with a Water Filter on Each.
  
• 5 x Automated Repair Circuits, one for each Filter.

Beyond that, I split my water supply, with one side going to the Conveyors/Harvester/Sorters/Smelters/Gem Compressors and the other side going to the Miners. Each side, just before I start placing equipment will include a Pressure Tank (to make sure water pressure is at maximum strength, followed by a Straight Pipe with a Logic Valve (to allow me to separately turn off the Miners and the Conveyors).
