Can we get a "clear all cut/polished gems" option?

Title pretty much says it all. I have an automated setup going, and part of it is everything goes through a gem polisher hook immediately after the harvester, and sorters dump the gems into a bucket. It had been running for a while and produced a lagtastic bucket full of gems. (I seem to recall before 2.0 bucket fulls of ores didn't add to lag while carrying them, but I could be wrong.) Anyway, said bucket 'sploded everywhere, cleanup is a pain, and apparently polished gems don't count as "raw resources".

While the mod is great for any future issues, I would also suggest setting up a gem compressor. You just have to occasionally go over and flip the handle to crush the smaller gems into big ones. This will remove the need to pick up a bucket of lag lol and yes the bucket lag was an issue even before the 2.0 update. Its been around since the beginning, the best way to avoid it is to replace the buckets with smelters and the gem compressor.

Yeah. As part of my development work, building my mine, I also moved from dumping Cut Gems into a bucket, to dumping my Cut Gems onto a straight Conveyor, transporting straight to a Gem Compressor, and pulling the lever on my Gem Compressor every once in a while. When I need funds or think I have too much Gems and/or Gold hanging around, I pull the handle on the Gem Compressor, grab my Gems, find the biggest/best Gem, place it on the Anvil, create a Gold Bar, heat it, place it on my Anvil, and create a Ring. I haven't successfully create anything other than a Ring or a Dagger, but I'll be trying for a Necklace next time.

You're welcome, but I hope you realize that you've bumped an OLD Discussion from May of last year. There have been several updates since then, including the Farming Update, which change Gem Compressors. I still get things into Smelters and Gem Comrpessors ASAP, but, since the v2.1 Farming Update, you need one Gem Compressor for each type of Gem and a Sorting System for it...

In the future (per past Dev requests), please do not bump old messages, but create a new one, especially if you need help...
