Tier 2 Drill Problems
i have a tier 2 drill working fine in the tier 2 dirt, no problem, but then i added a second one, and whatever i do, it just wont work. its next to the other tier 2 drill that works fine.

i tried everything i could think off: added another waterpump, added a water pressurizer connecting to it, covered the thing in dirt, cleared out possible dirt that would block the water pipes leading to the drill, reloading the game. nothing works

its set up 100% exactly like the first tier 2 drill that works fine, but the other tier 2 drill just refuses to turn on. am i only allowed to have 1 tier 2 drill per lot or something?

i am very frustrated because i cant get it to work!

can someone help?!

just placed my second t2 drill next to first one i levelled ground with rake but other than that nothing special.. works fine

Make sure there is dirt touching the bottom center of the machine. When I rake, it often removes too much dirt and I have to put a pile of dirt back to get it to work.

i am pretty sure thats the drill has ground to stand on, ill try to just place a mountain of dirt it can stand on, ill come back to you if that did the trick

Remove all dirt around the grinder below, then shovel 2 scoops side by side at the belt facing front. Sometimes 1 scoop is enough. Machines don't work most of the time if grinder part is submerged with dirt.

i am now no longer to repalce both tier 2 drills i nthe same place i put them after adding or removing dirt...i am very, VERY frustrated. frustrated enough to give my computer flying lessons. i am absolutely LIVID!

Alt+F4 so it doesn't save and/or use backup save. Also do your dirt adjustments after you decide where to put it permanently. It is possibly a bug that you can't place again.
okay, i managed to fix this with almost planting my fist in the screen. apparantly tier 2 drills need to be placed BEFORE the conveyor belt.

cleaned the whole place where teh drills where supposed to stand. i found undug dirt in one of the pipes, would that block water? perhaps

i made a single line of dirt, horizontal on where the drills should stand, placed teh drills, placed teh conveyors. AND NOW THEY BOTH WORK!

this game sometimes! im taking a break from hydroneer so i dont smash my screen in when i can finally place in the third tier 2 drill...wich is waiting to be placed next to the second drill but i need to do some digging before that....

hmmm, I'm in the process of building a T2 setup. I hope it works when I power it on. I have been setting the drills down first ironically and I spent a lot of time prepping the area, should be ready to fire on later today. Need more pipes and miners but those will come in due time.

so did the miners just not light up at all? thats the issue im having and ive replaced everything multiple times. gonna try the rake strat in a bit but it is quite frustrating compared to tier 1 drills

update rake and placing miner first seemed to work

I'm having the same problems too

I had the same issue, what i did to fix it was clear the 1x2 space where the T2 miner goes (no red when rotating any direction), then place a straight pipe facing up/down and put dirt right at the hole on the bottom, then removed it and swapped the T2 miner in its place and it works just fine. Basically, just need a little dirt on the bottom center of the T2 miner.
Also I've had to raise my entire underground mine up a level just to get some miners to work instead of sparking on the sub (T3?) ground.
