Gem Compressor - how to use

Been trying to figure out if I am missing a requirement on the gem compressor.

I built the gem compressor, connected to water, and dumped a bunch of gems in it. The handle won't engage and compress the gems. Is there a water pressure requirement? Can only have one gem inside at a time (videos contradict that). A certain weight of gems? What am I missing?

Form my side, I bought a gem compressor but mine seems to be unable to work with t1 pump and t1 pipes, I end up buying t2 with my compressor and its works so far on my side.
The gem compressor seems to work with both 1 type or mix of tpyes of gems, I didn't have to sort them when throwing them in the compressor.
So I think it might be the pressure, if not using t2 and still on t1, try t2 or if my info might be wrong.

You are missig pipe with water on one of the sides of gem compressor. Weight and count of gems is not an issue.

Compressor can be used with T1 and T2 pipes. But since 2.0 he will not compress any UNCUT GEMS anymore. So if any raw gem is inside, it simple won't work.

Just place a straight belt leading to it, hook the auto gem polisher hook onto it, and you're good to go.

in my experience i fixed a similar sounding issue by rotating the compressor till it
worked

Then there a problem on my side, my gem compressor will not work with t1 pipes and t1 pumps on my side, all my gems is cut and clean.

Edit is there a t2 compressor?

I haven't checked that, but the one I'm using has a T2 Port, but is connected to a T1 pipe:

Sure, will take a long while and will have to rebuild it since I replaced them with t2.

I found an issue with my compressor. It was to the up pipe of a tap on the pipe. If I turned the tap off (as in water flow after the compressor stopping) the handle wouldn't work. Turning the tap on (again being further down the pipe than the compressor itself) the handle would work. Moving the compressor a few places up steam (so to speak) of where it was, still before the tap, and it worked fine.

You don't need to extra rebuild it for me, if it works now for you of course ^^ It was just an offer to find the problem, but if it no longer exists :)

This is false. It will ignore uncut gems but still compress cut ones.

Maybe this got patched then, right atfer 2.0 the compressor wasn't working as long as any uncut gems were inside. You weren't able to pull the lever, even when the setup was okay. But I can/will test that tomorrow

Nope, you can buy it in the Store that is located at Icehelm (outside in the ruin opposite of the entrance). Easy to miss tbh if you don't look around.
