Excavator Ramp?
Is there a trick to making a ramp for the excavator? I'm trying to make one out of tin sheet long ramps and the moment a vehicle touches them it'll go on a trip to the moon.

I wounder if their is a mod for that because its kind of annoying. The games is pretty fun but the the Excavators mystic journey to the moon as soon as it touches anything placed by the player sort of makes that aspect of the game a little useless. pretty much leaving you with a idle miner game that your have to baby sit with to make sure everything stays up and running

I wanna know this as well. I just spend 60 coins (mind you I have plenty) on the long ramps and all I get is the jiggles or a triple axle flip to the ocean. It seems if you have foundations it's not so bad. But anything angled makes it freak out. I bought South Hope and am trying to mine down to the bottom. Ain't workin so well. I JUST got fed up and got off. Ain't dealin with that tonight.

I would love for these long ramps to be functional for the vehicles. It makes so much sense that it would but the moment you use it, WEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

I didn't mind it so much the first few times it happened but it gets old after a bit. Sorry for any aggression. I'm irritated by the lack of vehicle physics. Yes I know it's a new game. But since vehicles play such a large role mid to late game, I think they should be somewhat of a priority

Yea I saw a video where someone was using ramps and assumed it would work. Prior to the ramps I did discover that the excavator works much better if you mine while backing up, put the drill down to the lowest setting and slowly backup and it'll mine a somewhat clean patch of dirt as opposed to the behavior when driving forward where a slight bump will result in broken terrain you have to unstuck out of.

It seems like most claims (can't confirm south hope) are designed to have a climbable slope in case you fall in (on foot) and want to get out. It's hard to see with all the dirt but my guess is that there is probably a natural ramp somewhere.

Breaking into claim with the excavator is always a pain at first

You can always use the unstick while you are in the vehicle.

You shouldn't have to unstuck every damn time you wanna get out. That's the thing.

This is useful actually. Kinda can't do this with south hope though. Not now.

If you lay some flat tin sheet before the ramp so the excavator is not bumping up something you should not go to the moon.

Community Helper.

That won't help as the issue is when you're driving down it not onto it.

...that's so dumb but I can confirm it seems to work.

I think the vehicle is just too big. If it was half the size, you could handle it so much better. You will make more trips, but if you can handle it better then it would actually work faster.

However, after you dig down to the bottom and set up your drills, it is pretty much useless.

The best intermediate solution is just to place ramps and reload the game. I can confirm that saving and loading back in works. I tried it. It's the best we got for now

We have passed this issue onto the developer to be looked into.
