.... install a windows partition to play games, maybe?
or personally pay the developer enough money for it to be worth it to go through the time-consuming arduous task of porting the game for mac.

I'd second on that. Macplayers have money, you know... this seems to be a great game and it has everything to grow even more. Devs just have to sit down and talk to see how much time they would take to support openGL or Vulkan instead of Direct X.

I think the last survey by steam had mac with 6 or 7% of total players. So we are talking here about 7% of people with enough money to buy a $3K+++ macbook pro, wishing to play more titles like this one on their native OS. Just my 2 cents.

Hey folks, you should check out Geforce NOW! Allows you to play games you already own through Steam, at no extra cost, on top end hardware! It has both a free and paid tier. I'm not clued up on Mac devices, but pretty sure it should work fine for you - you can even play through your browser! https://play.geforcenow.com/

Geforce now isn't available worldwide. It currently supports North America, Europe and some Caribbean countries. If you live in Oceania, Asia ou in South America like me, you cant use it.
