suggestion: Ingot cutter
Backstory, I got the spanner blueprint and wanted to craft them for my spannerguns. This was a massive operation with little profit (because money isn't an issue, could've bought toolbags easily) but I had a very big ingot and was doing some crazy math to get equal chunks of 4 weight.

this cluttered the floor and couldn't cut everything to size all at once and it was a challenge to say the least.

My suggestion is an ingot cutter. You put in an ingot, input the output weight through logic and it cuts them one at a time. (my first idea was it cuts it up entirely and you'll have to empty it first but that is a little too much)

I'd say make it that you have to take it out by hand, because automation can't be done for the purpose of spanners or toolbags, and you have to take the ramaining ingot out and put another one in to cut another ingot.

so for the use I insert my iron bar, set the weight to 18, and take the chunk out, make it redhot, and craft it into a toolbag on the workbench. Take the next chunk out, put it in the furnace etc

thank you for reading

Big second on this one! Whatever the solution, we need a way to cut ingots other than only in half. If you want to shave just a bit off an overweight ingot, you have to cut and cut and cut and cut - with ingots flying all over - just to get down to a small ingot I can leave out. Then you have to collect all of the other pieces and combine them in a smelter. Tedious.

Another solution would be to allow setting the saw to other ratios. Even if not exact, it could significantly reduce the work needed to get the desired bar size.
