Looking at the Splitter from the Dial side -
Input is on the left side of the Splitter.
Selected output (on the dial) is sent out opposite the dial.
Remaining output is sent out the right side of the Splitter.
I'd recommend having a Straight / Centraliser Conveyor on each side of the Splitter to minimise the risk of spillage.

i think you should eventually look into multiplayer or co-op options for this game. i think it be as popular as games like factorio or minecraft.
There is a known bug wherein if you have Splitters right next to each other, they'll spit out resources at an angle. Try to space them out with a conveyor belt in between each one.
In regards to Multiplayer, this is requested multiple times per week on various social channels and as such it hasn't been ruled out, but is not at the top of the to-do list as Max has stated he has no plans for adding Multiplayer to Hydroneer as he is "refining a single player experience".

Been fighting with this for like 2 hours lol, thanks for this.
But if you put conveyors on the side before dropping it into a funnel, the conveyor will grab any nuggets and negate the angle glitch.
This is my current setup for sorters. Not a single nugget will go out of place, and they all end up in the smelters below the funnels (or the compressor).
It's also my favorite place to view this rig, you can almost hear the little nuggets go 'Wheeee!' as they get launched into the air :D
I also have another sorter on the goliath dirt line down in the pit, which doesn't actually sort anything but it's a convenient way to add pressure to the line from the middle of the line, rather then snake a pipe all the way around to the start or end of the line.
I have a 6 star lava harvester, and about 10 drills. The ore size is pushing 8.5 wt per piece.
The iron sorter is fine when I am down in the pit but it goes dumb when I leave for say 5 to 10 minutes. It then starts throwing all ores out to the right and I get a mess that takes a long time to clean up.
