Mass/volume of bars
So I've done a good handful of testing regarding the size of the bars and how much they weigh, since I've been seeing a few issues regarding smelting from nuggets. By this, I mean that I'd try putting ten nuggets into a crucible, and the ingots would end up different sizes from one another.

I've been sawing and weighing a whole pile of ingots of various materials for the past two hours.
I've found that nuggets are anywhere between 0.3 - 0.75 in weight, and the smallest that you could cut an ingot is to 0.3.
The largest an ingot can go is 4.5.

Is there any particular advantage to making sure all your ingots are around 4.5 in weight, or did I just overthink everything and waste my evening?

Also, personally I'd like it if there actually was a maximum size for ingots, making you use multiple ingot molds if you have a full crucible. It doesn't make sense that you'd have an ingot of gold that's about as big as your hand, but it weighs eighty kilograms.

gold bars can be infinite in weight and worth, they just stop getting bigger after a point.

buggerst nuggets are 5, and im assuming the weight is either just a number rather than kg , either way, you can melt bars together using the ubgraded crucilble thing which has unlimited capacity

You kinda missed my point. I was saying that there should be a weight limit for ingots as well as volume, since it doesn't make sense for a single ingot to weigh twenty times as much as it is supposed to.

hhhhwwwwat
talk about unintuitive.

would be so much more intuitive for both a volume and weight/value limit and that the Crucible(s) would not fully empty any time they pour, necessitating that if you had enough Ore to make what would currently be 3 full size Ingots, that you'd have to pour 3 separate times to empty the Crucible since it wouldn't all fit at once in the Mold.

in the meantime though, brb i'm going to turn my piles of Ingots into blackholes.
