Combining Gems?

Is there any way to combine them?
I got like 394850934850345 uncut and 439058405809 cut gems.

Should I just sell the uncut ones?
or cutting them to profit?

or can I combine them somehow?

I don't think there is any way to combine them. I would not want to go through the process of cutting all those gems, and cutting is more to get them ready for rings and necklaces than to increase profit. So, I would just sell them uncut.

Cut gems sell for more I believe, so I'd cut em before selling them. To get rid of mine I'll often make several smaller gold ingots to use up my gems.

Time to start up a big necklace industry! You can speed it up with the smelter I'm told.

I did a test where I used the same size gem and the same amount of gold to make ring and a necklace then sold them to see which gives me more. The necklace does, but maybe by 2% more. Stock market values vary, but I tried to sell both at peek price. So, I now just keep the best cut gem and sell the rest.

I did some testing the other day. Just grinding the gems adds about 30% value. If you use two pans, one full of uncut gems and place the other at your drop spot, you can grind them very quickly.

Actually yes, gems can be combined, but not different types. For example, combining rubies will eventually get you a very large ruby, same with emerald and sapphire. Hope this helps

It's the gem compressor. Just hook it up to a water source, drop all your gems in, uncut and cut, doesn't matter and pull the lever. All gems will be compressed into their own big gem version. You don't have to sort them by hand.
Compressed gem sell for a bit less per weight unit than cut gems, but you can craft really heavy jewelery with compressed gems, instead of having to set a tiny cut gem into your
3 humungus gold ingot necklace.

The gem compressor can combine multiple gems at the same time and output the gems in their respective types.
