Tool Racks
Is there anyway to lock these down, so that they don't accidentally get picked up? I can't hit them with the construction hammer because it places it in the rack. I want to be able to place it in the rack, but I also want the rack to be locked.

Fill the rack. Hammer it down. Take a tool out of it. Place the hammer? :-)

That means I have to have enough tools to fill it, which early on I did not, but thanks I'll do that now that I have many tools. Maybe a right click of the like could be a solution.

I'd suggest there be a button on the rack that would lock it or unlock it. Same with many other items.

right off the bat you have shovel and brush to put on a rack. be for you buy a rack you should buy a pick furnes crusible anvil and blacksmith hammer. the pick and blacksmith hammer is your 3rd and 4th tool.
than you buy a construction hammer 5th tool. and than a rack and you have 4 tools to put on it and the construction hammer witch is the 5th tool is in your hand. hammer now full rack. it is now locked down.

The great thing about video games is I don't have to buy ♥♥♥♥, or play in the way that you do.

I don't consider it helpful at all, particularly based on the already existing replies. How about you worry about yourself instead of people propagating.

so what you need to do is buy 50 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tools to fill up the toolrack, then when you finally fill it up you use another tool to lock it down, leaving you without a spot for the construction hammer
great design

You place it down like any other structure, then hammer it, I don't see the issue.

It adds the hammer to the rack, but the above solution of 'fill the rack first' is what I needed :)
