Well according to Steams own statistics there are close to 2 million VR headets connected to Steam each month. That is a player base that is not to be sneered at.
A good VR game can sell tens of thousends of copies aka earn a very real market share.
The only problem is that a game like Hydroneer isn't for everybody, most VR users wouldn't weant it. Despite this: a VR Hydroneer COULD be a huge success. ^^
Well I don't think you are right there. There is a ton of FPS and puzzle and physics and horror gamed in VR. But what is really missing is a building game which Hydroneer would offer. There is a huge gaping hole in the VR world that this game could fill very well. And I know plenty people who would love to see a creative/building game in VR.
You believe 51% of VR users or more would buy Hydroneer?
Otherwise i don't think your post disagrees with what you quoted.
i like games which display informations in world, i like in world UI, i like that u need to carry stuff and i hope we get a backpack..
that doesn't mean that i'am a VR junkie or that i own VR.. it's just not the time for VR now.. Hardware is too big, u can't input that u run, there is no feedback to your body.. what u call VR is far faaar away from what a virtual reality will be in 100 years.. so maybe check back later then.. ^^
