The Next Gencraft Game

I'm sure there are several threads on this already but haven't seen any kind of updates lately, so I thought I'd start a new discussion topic and go from there, if anyone has links showing recent updates or what the plans may be for the next Gemcraft game after FW, and if there may even be a release date.

This is also my first time posting on the steam community forums, so I apologize if this kind of topic should have been posted elsewhere, please bare with me.

But I love the Gemcraft series and having played the most recent games, I'm ready for another challenge. And it has been about two or so years since FW was released, I don't mind waiting another 2 years if it means another Gemcraft game is on the way. I have even thought of ideas for the next one just in case the creator is short on ideas, to include plot, gem types, achievements, talisman upgrades/abilities, Trials, Skills, premonition creatures, and even a new title for it. Is there a way to reach out directly to the creator/developer with these and other ideas?

Feel free to share your thoughts, ideas, and other news regarding this.

Been playing GemCraft since i found it on Armor games. Every game has been a blast, and the qol improvements in the newer ones are most appreciated. This series is underrated, unfortunately

Actually almost 5 years and the last update was almost 4 years ago.

In January of 2022, so almost three years ago, Peter (GameinaBottle, the developer), posted on his blog[gameinabottle.com] that his current plan is making a non-Gemcraft game before working to the series, and potentially doing remakes of the old chapters (the three that aren't on Steam, and then bring them onto Steam).

That's the last update he's given regarding the games themselves. In his most recent blogpost,[gameinabottle.com], he stated that he doesn't have anything yet to show us on the next game. This update was actually less than a month ago - he was also letting users know that there's a zip you can download on his site's homepage which contains images from his games, which you can take to a print shop to get things like shirts and mugs made for yourself.

I...actually kinda hope the next and presumably final chapter of gemcraft is a shorter one. This one was...LONG. maybe not grindy int he way a lot of people thought (at least if you know what you're doing), but still a VERY long game to get through unless you follow a guide to beeline for the goal at the end.

Peter the DEV is semi dead. He is a sick man. His motivations are something else. After his liver transplant i gave up all hope on this game. after using mods to make a gem and getting good high scores, i could not go any further so i gave up. not played for years.

Perhaps we'll never know if the next chapter's wizard was supposed to figure out how to banish the forgotten once and for all or just seal her away again.
