can we play online ?

On the steam page it states that the game would release 4th of july but that has been pushed back untill the 8th of july. When can we expect the game to be released? I want to see if this is a legit game already.

Hey guys, I was wondering if this game would eventually see characters from the critically acclaimed cult classic Mergegun? Characters maybe like Dr. Kujo? Would be cool to see. Anyway cant wait to try the game out.
