Struggling a little to figure out when exactly would have time to fit in a marriage in his life. He wears an eyepatch in the photo where he's posing with Park. We know he wouldn't have time to be be married between when he lost his eye (I think that was in 1985?) and the conclusion of Y0 in late 1988, since he was basically living in a cage in Sotenbori. Park had her abortion before she was supposed to make her debut in Tokyo around 1992, and her marriage was already over by then.
I doubt he's married in 1995 before Kiryu's arrest, since he's now busy leading his own family and being a lunatic around Kamurocho. So I guess he must have found a rebound right after the thing with Makoto didn't pan out and immediately married, before speedrunning it into a divorce sometime between 1989 and 1995.

Thoughts? Am I missing something? The Yakuza lore is starting to become more than a little convolved by now...

If Mirae Park is from Sotenbori and promoted there, then it wouldn't bee too far-fetched if she met Majima there in the late 80s. They did have a picture together with Majima having the eye patch already.

The Yakuza Wiki also mentions they were married for roughly a year, so if Mirae was supposed to debut in 1992, the divorce could've happened earlier the same year or in 1991. In fact, the whole thing could've happened in 1992 since things escalated so quickly after the abortion.

If we factor in the rise of the Majima family, it's also possible that Majima could've been married while running his family, but kept it a secret, which means Mirae would've been slated to debut after 1992 when **** hit the fan.

Somehow, the timelines do fit for me. There is that whole gap between Y0 and Y1, so anything could've happened in between the 2 games.
