great game, as always, but this baseball dude is really confusing me and this batting cage mini game how is that suppose to work. also I am really not into baseball so that is a downer for me and I can not really find a tutorial on youtube or here how this stupid batting cage baseball minigame is working, a pity they force one to do this to progress the story.

do you mean shinada's baseball? you just move your cursor and hit the ball, its easier than the batting cages

no that batting cage at the chapter start with Tatsuo. I am not understanding how this is supposed to work, cause the green dot always stays in the middle. I moved the four colored shape around and did a homerun by chance.

If you say it is not the way the normal baseball later on is working then I am happing. cause it drives me crazy if I do not understand a minigame.

Just leave it at the center, and whereever the pitch is going towards LEFT RIGHT DOWN UP move the closest color over it and hit it when yellow.

Drop that until you get some money from side quests, then get the better gear from Ebisu

It's still confusing, especially if you played other games in the franchise before.

Took me some time as well but then it's as easy as breathing

If it helps though, let me explain

Ignore whatever the ♥♥♥♥ the game tells you, just follow what you can do - and once you hit that, it's next to impossible to fail

Ignore the ball, just look at where it will land, then you have your four fields, meaning X square, triangle and circle, or AB XY on ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ controllers :D

Either way, ignore what's going on on the screen, just watch the calling screen, tells you everything you need to know - then knock it out of the park

oh and, at the last game, it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you - meaning it throws the balls around the line

just preemptively move the cursor a bit

thing is - ignore what's going on on the screen, just focus on where the ball lands. - it's in one of those squares - the better the gear, the bigger they are.

It's basically a quicktime event - once you get it, it's mega easy - was super confused at first myself but once I got it, I found it harder to play with "easy mode" gear hah

Just think of your buttons as zones where you can hit, do that a few times, it'S simple

Meaning if the ball falls North, sorta, hit Triangle, East - Circle, South X, and West Square - simple as that

i finally manage to get it done as well, after playing the basic lessons in the most left booth. still without heat gauge up and heat eye it is so frustrating.

don't get me started with snooker. I boykottet this. but in other previous parts I enjoy bilard, so I wonder what happend.

still yakuza 5 is so far my most loved game in the series (except yakuza 0) maybe.

story wise, the part where you actually get to play haruka and become a pop idol in a yakuza game, thats so genius. :), the fighting style variation of each character, the hunting part.

and the self irony in the story. ah. I wish I could play the newst "the man without name" with Kazuma Kiryu... but it has this dreadfull rootkit copy protection denuvo in it.... maybe its someday on GOG.
