Game crashes when I alt tab or try to change it to borderless windowed mode in game options menu
This is a long-shot cause I've tried to research all over the place and kind of know what the issue is but hell with it, I'm tired of sifting through unhelpful online threads.

Like the title says, the game crashes when I alt tab. Trying to change the game to borderless windowed mode in the games settings menu also causes the game to crash without actually changing the settings.

I've seen people talk about ways to set the game to be wireless outside of the games files such as changing app data but they don't explain how to actually do that. So if someone can please, pleeeeease tell me how to do that and break it down to me like I'm 5 years old I could really use the help, it makes going back to finish this game so difficult when it can crash so easily

Do you have Discord? If so, turn off the overlay for this game, that was the issue for me that always caused the game to crash when Alt+Tabbing, once I disabled the Discord overlay everything was fine.

Ive had this issue with most of the games, including the crashing when changing settings. You can do this to put it in window mode then swap it to borderless in the settings.
In Steam, go to your Library.
Right Click on the game title.
Select Properties.
Click Set Launch Options...
Paste the following line into the provided text box. -popupwindow.
Click OK, then Close.
