Why Kiryu is a taxi driver in this game?
I mean, at the end of Yakuza 4 he seems to be stop running from his Clan responsibilities and finally joined the ranks or smth.

Guilt by association, dear of more losses, probably drove Kiryu away. Most likely, he was afraid of more deaths, so he wanted to distance himself from the Tojo Clan before he got to know even more people who could die.

He's trying to hide so his kids can move on and follow their DREAMS

Having just played 4, I don't think the credit scene shows him 'rejoining' the ranks. He was there to support the inauguration of Saejima as a patriach. It's a big deal and it sends a very powerful message to the clan that the 4th chairman was there in person.

I think his intend was always to fade away after the ceremony. After all, Haruka was waiting outside and he told her that he shouldn't be long.

Saejima becoming a patriarch is kinda stupid too though considering the Tojo Clan sent him to death row for no gain and at the expense of his family, you'd think he'd be more pissed at them

Kiryu is never fully back in after stepping down as Fourth Chairman. He knows he'd have to go all in and step up to the top spot again. He's just too huge of a presence to be anything less.

Although, Kiryu still gets allot of money by beating the ♥♥♥♥ outta people or he could've get a loan from Akiyama.

This makes the most sense. When people learn to pull strings, they can persuade people to act in a variety of ways. On his own, Kiryu may not have wanted to walk away from the orphanage and continued to brave the perils. However, Park offered him a chance to let the children still have a home until they were adopted, without further struggle or putting them in the same kind of danger they had been at the end of Yakuza 3. You could call it parental strategy of a kind on Park's behalf and Kiryu wanting to play it safe.

I still love when the plot says you can't possibly afford something and you're sitting on a trillion yen in your inventory.

nah the first hour of 6 will tell you that's wrong. Japanese society regardless would def destroy haruka's career the moment they found out the orphanage was run by a legendary ex yakuza. same with any of the other kids. if they all strove for mediocrity in careers then sure but haruka and taichi both wanted to be famous. for an example weed is a native plant to japan and grows wild there. However it's illegal to harvest that and celebrities have been cancelled in the past for smoking the stuff. heck yakuza 4 had tanimura recasted as did a character in judgement because they were found to have drugs and thus they were erased from their talent agency and all media that could be found.

They are very aggressive in this regard. you gotta be pure as falling snow but not fresh snow that just touched the ground. I also remember a VA got death threats after fans found out she had a boyfriend. Just disgusting stuff all around
