sea fishing is just so awful and exhausting

the last part of igarashi training needs you to catch a marlin on sea...i look out on the guide that marlin is at 90-150m distance, its really tiring to reel & unreel the fishrod especially from that distance... what more annoy me is that the game decides to give me stupid oil barrel 3 times in a row!! @!*()^)!%)!% it took me about -/+ 5min for each catch because of the long distance and with the target really try so hard to break loose (oil barrel wants to break loose, huh..funny..) ..this game sea fishing minigame is stupid and just pure troll -_- probably the worst fishing minigame in yakuza series

I just caught all sea fish for the completion (took me five hours), two tricks, no need to follow with the rod, just hold rb-rt and when it's about to snap press lb without letting go of the other button, the other thing is to not forget to pull the left stick back when the catch enter the five meters range.

i just waste 2 hours for seas fishing and didnt get any fish or marlin..only briefcase and oil drum...wtf..seems like the game like to troll.... i change my fishing gameplay from following the rod movement to not, it takes longer, but i it less exhausting..it just its boring because the target gives a hard fight.

im gonna hold this for a while until i calmed down, and doing leo training which is easier to do than this.

when close to red, hold L1 to slack the line, WITHOUT releasing reel buttons. Once indicator became blue - immediately release L1

Rinse and Repeat.

I feel you, just spent ten hours today between sea and river fishing, it's a nightmare how long it takes to get some of the specific river fish, i still have four fish left, good luck to you !

This mini-game wasn't suppose to be that aggressive on the original but it seems like QLOC (who ported y3-5 to consoles and PC) didn't fix the mini-game running above 30fps.

What button combinations are people using to get a Marlin out of the water? Objects aren't a problem, and getting a Marlin in range isn't a problem, but it just red lines whenever i try and lift it even when the bar is almost empty.

I couldn't find the river ito no matter what i did but I got it on the first try yesterday doing it in the evening (not night time), on the east side by the convenient store with a lucky day text and using the Tonkatsu Onigiri as bait. You'll know if it shows up because there's a pink piece at the very top that represents the Ito. if you don't see it at the top, idk if you can get it. I only saw that piece of pink once and that's when I got the Ito.

press back arrow/analog to pull your rod when its <10 meter while keeping the reel on safe gauge (yellow or red without warning sound)

i only fish on the river for a few times and i mostly got what i want, sea fishing is a whole another level if you want to catch something like marlin because it trickier than river/pool fishing and the fish (or whatever that bite your bait) will struggling and resisting so much.

Sea Fishing is really easy, here's what you do.

hold down both buttons for double reel speed and DO NOT touch any of your sticks or mouse or w/e. Don't follow the fish, don't press anything except the two reel buttons. Once it gets to red (beeps), drop the tension with the double reel speed all the way down the green or blue (blue can be risky). Then just bring it back up to red and repeat.

I pulled in a marlin in like 15 seconds. It's actually like a joke they must have put in because this method works on all remastered games.

15sec? i dont know bruh....it took me like 10min at minimum to because marlin resist and struggle so much... and yes, you just repeat the post before you..I KNOW how to sea fishing, but marlin is just like unnecessary evil that the game put on it...like, i got trash and oil drum so much before i got marlin, and every catch tooks me 10++ mins

there's no struggle, don't touch the left or right sticks. just do nothing but reel in and out. I use one hand on the controller and check my email during sea fishing. maybe you're not reading what I wrote correctly.

im not touch it at all !! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ! why are you so persistent?? the only thing press the button to pull out the reel is when it was <10m, because if i just pressing the reel button it will eventually loose on it self (not cut loose, but the target ran away), it happened to me most of the time, so i just pull back when its already <10m

oh you're using a kbm, i couldn't get it to work either but I didn't try that hard. it may not be possible without a controller. or turning off your mouse or something.
