Saito....
Seriously, that guy personifies EVERYTHING that's wrong with the combat system in this franchise.

I'm so tired of having to fight this piece of ♥♥♥♥ OVER AND OVER AND OVER again without any damn ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ supplements.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dodges and blocks pretty much everything, has an unblockable baton and recovers way too fast. Like most bosses anyway, but there you at least have some crap in your inventory.

It's just a complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ everytime I have to face this piece of ♥♥♥♥.
It's not fun, it's not hard where you can say - "uh I gotta get better" - it's just always a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ without having any sponge in your inventory.

♥♥♥♥ that

What are you talking abt bro Saejima and Kiryu are much stronger ability wise than the other two tho tbf these fights happen at the start of the game when you have few upgrades

I think you fight him like 4 or 5 separate times hes kinda like the Kuze of this game lol

thats WHY hes the worst boss, kiryu and saejima maxed out would be like fighting a street thug, not when you the player havent been given any opportunity to upgrade them at all

I was just about to say something about how I just fought this guy, and the whole prison segment had me about to give up. Glad I'm not the only one who thought this guy was BS.

The first fight you could cheese him a bit and run around him to hit him when he attacks. The second fight it seems like if you are close to him, he just locks onto you and you can't avoid his attacks. He also has that leaping attack he does that seems to auto-track to your location.

I just made it to the city. It's kind of messed up Kiryu was an easier fight than this guy.

Honestly it’s the move set he has that’s just complete bs. Has long combos with hyper armor on every hit plus how easy you can be stunned. It’s the only time in the series you ever see that move set. I think 5 had one but that was optional.

Just wait until you get to the final battle - a word of advice, bring EVERYTHING you can for healing for the Cop guy.
It's the worst, most unfair BS in gaming history. It was really messed up.

But then again, 4 is the worst in the entire series anyway.

Oh that fight, yeah it’s bad and you only need the armor set the auto blocks bullets. Which you get from completing all the training so it’s easy to get, still his move set isn’t good against groups. Annoying aspect aside I can easily replay 4 over 3 or enemy blocking simulator.

Oh yea that makes sense - Pro Tip for Infinite Wealth btw. - in Millenium Tower you want to have the Anti-Curse item for Kiryu - that was some serious Tonberry ♥♥♥♥ right there

I got it in the second attempt by focusing his ass first but boy oh boy are you screwed if they get you in a corner.
Only game left for me is Ishin - but I swear that final fight in 4 was the dumbest moment in the franchise so far.

The fights are pretty good it’s just the cops being the last boss and it being me unfun. Imo is somehow makes the kiwami fight against jingu better by comparison.

People were already bad at those games many years ago but it feels like with the RPG boring slop of today that requires less than 3IQ to beat made them even worse.

This Boss is annoying the first time you encounter him cause he force you to use your brain early. Now in my many re-runs i completely smash him without taking a single hit on Legend.

First fight, huge area, solo, you just bait his jump run atk, dodge, full combo his back, use heat move, he's done.

Second fight, Group, even easier if you react quick, the only time you can get hit is by a mook after a dodge of his run jump atk, so instead of dodging it, just guard it, won't break your guard, let you dodge gun guy or some random. You kill Gun guy, empty magazine on everyone else while still baiting the boss. Either repeat the same loop from before once he's alone or use weapons that the mooks drop for higher HP damages on heat move.

3rd + 4th fight is with Kiryu. I mean Mofo Kiryu. He has dodge/guard/guard breaks/TD/Counters/Grabs He's just god. You can't fail with him. You can literally style on Saito making him your ♥♥♥♥♥, it's the reason they made him fight him later in the game, it's for the player to get their revenge on him.

The only fight in this game that is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is the Kamurocho Hills gauntlet, if you want to avoid healing items. It's a true pain to beat those guys without getting cheap hit.
Dude, nobody denies that you are good at it - but it's pretty much the start of the game and it frustrated people towards the point where they gave up on the game.
Adding such a hard fight at the start of the game whilst resources are limited is a really dumb move.

RGG Games aren't perfectly Souls games with hard but fair fights where you can learn and improve. It's rather chaotic and even though I've played all of them, at least the ones available on Steam, I gotta say, 4 was a literal punch in the nutsack.

It's literally the worst, most unfair crap in the entire series - and Saito is just the tip of the iceberg.
I mean, if you find an endboss fight to be fun with having 20 Sponges that strafe out of 90% of your hits while being shot at, hey, be my guest.

I've only recently started grinding through the RGG games, I've played 0 back in 2022, and from October on I went through the other games and every one of them has some ♥♥♥♥ that is improved however in the next one - meaning, they obviously listen to the criticism and adapt.

And I gotta add, Like a Dragon and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth are EVERYTHING that FF7R should have been. Afaic it's a punch in the face of Square for not getting that you can make a really fun, modern turn-based system rather than whatever they did.

Boy did I have so much fun with those.... just saying champan pam pam champan wu wu

The final fight with the police is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It's unfair.
There like 10 cops with 3 health bars rush into me and I can't land a hit without getting wrecked. Also the boss with a gun can just shoot me through all those cops (without damaging them)

I just can't fight those guys unprepared. The worse thing is I have to load the save in the safe house, buy all them weapons I needed. Then fight the previous 3 bosses again just to try that again.
