Not quite. Hiroki Narimiya (Tanimura's original actor, also played the main character in the 2012 Ace Attorney live-action film) quit showbiz in 2016 after false & malicious coke allegations (it later turned out the stuff he was photographed with was actual candy rather than the euphemistic kind) & a complete lack of support from other people in the industry.

Tanimura got recast for Densetsu wo Tsugumono on PS4 because there had been dialogue changes & so voice work needed re-recording, also Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio wanted to put the character in their online game & didn't have the rights to use Narimiya's likeness for that.
