Game not launching

I have tried to launch this game first from GOG Galaxy and then from Steam, no luck. I get a synch, but then just straight back to the play button. I run Win10, 64 bit, GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card, and have DirectX installed. Does anyone else have the same problem?

Running Windows 10 on an Nvidia card, and the game launches and runs just fine for me after replacing a missing file (adding dgVoodoo also helps).

Not a ripoff. Just poorly maintained.

Go to Apps & features, choose NVIDIA PhysX, push modify and repair.

My Game isn't launching either right from the start. I pressed play after installing and literally within 6-8 seconds the play button is back up and no start up. I'm hearing about a missing file on the forums but I don't know which one and will not mess with anything unless its a proven fix. Does anybody have any clues here on how to fix this problem and if so, maybe some details to explain how to do so. I'd hate to have to return this game because the devs never addressed all the issues in their compatibility update back in May.

Literally any copy of PhysXLoader.dll from any other game’s files. I grabbed it out of my Viscera Cleanup Detail game files and dropped a copy in the “Dracula Origin” folder, and it ran just fine.

If that doesn’t work for you, try other things mentioned in this thread. No need to be squeamish about messing with the game directory; just delete and redownload if something goes wrong.

I did exactly that and the game started on the first try. Guess I won't be squeamish anymore when it comes to dealing with missing or corrupt files in the game directory at least. Thank you for your time and the very helpful info!

W7- Compatiblity + Download Pfrom here (Trusted site) https://www.dlldump.com/download-dll-files_new.php/dllfiles/P/PhysXLoader.dll/2,6,3,3/download.html and push it to installation directory. Works fine.

What works on my end is clicking on GEAR Icon on steam main game page, > Manage > Browse local files > and the run game.exe

has anyone to date Installed the PhysX installer that's in the Support folder in the game files? (theres 2 versions)

have already tried compatibilty/admin
copied Loader (and a Core) to game folder
neither worked (just made the 'launch' last afew seconds more before stopping)
then i saw the Support Folder and a PhysX folder within) wondering if anyone's tried installing it (and which one)?...

what EXACTLY does this change when you repair it?
does it affect any games?
what settings get altered?

Just pull “PhysXLoader.dll” from some other game and copy it into this game’s files. See if that works.
