Been waiting for this game since the third one was finished. Can honestly say while being abit more pricey it is worth it, Completed it in just over 3 hours and in one sitting, the immersion I felt was like no other vr game though. If you are a fan of this series and have a vr headset buy this.

THIS is why I bought VR in the first place, for experiences like this, being completely immersed in a fantasy world, following an interesting story and solving well thought out, VR friendly puzzles. I needed the hint system only twice and I'm not great at puzzle games, but these puzzles are so well put together and make complete logical sense. Fireproof really came through on this one and I am hoping for many more from them in the future. 10/10 Completely recommend!

Terrific escape room. If you've played any of the other games in this series, you know the style of puzzles you'll be up against. Not that long of a game, but really polished and a lot of fun!

Also, I personally hate jumpscares in VR, so I want people to know that there are no jumpscares other than doors opening suddenly with loud noises. But the game does maintain an eerie feeling throughout the story, which is great.

Enjoyed the game overall, puzzles were fun enough.
2 complains:
- too short, only maybe 4 hours
- Lots of things should have been interactable, I don't care if I can't pick it up, if something is hanging from the ceiling and within arms reach I should be able to swing it. Brings you out of VR when that stuff doesn't happen.

Great game to play with your non-gaming wife or girlfriend

Definitely turn on casting your device to a nearby TV so that you can talk about the puzzles with the person you are playing with

The Room VR stands out as one of the most beautiful, well crafted and ambitious VR puzzle games I’ve played since Xing The Land Beyond. What I really love about it is how it leans heavily into VR’s strengths— using scale. It’s something only VR can do and is very well implemented in this game. For example you can shrink and step into a keyhole to unlock a door from the inside. Or you’ll step inside a church organ to fix the broken pipes- with its inner workings becoming the game level. Actually standing inside these impossibly small locations is just a surreal experience. The puzzles themselves are fun as well. You turn gears and pull knobs which give off satisfying clicky, sounds and haptic feedback, lending them a tactile quality. The level of detail and interaction throughout is just stunning. Excellent game worth every penny especially if you like puzzle games.

The Room VR: A Dark Matter is everything you would expect from a VR version of The Room. Beautiful environments, intriguing puzzles, fascinating mechanics. I'd say it is a must have for every puzzle loving owner of a vr headset ...

... if there wasn't the issue of the pricing. 29.99€ at the time of release (without any release discount) is hard to swallow. I 100%ed the game in 2.9 hours (without using any hints) so 6 minutes of play time cost me around 1€!

So, definite recommendation for the title but if you've got any patience or are low on cash you should probably wait for a sale offer. I'd say the content is worth 15-20€ max.

If spending $30 for 3-4 hours of gameplay bothers you, then don't buy.

If that doesn't bother you, then this game is pretty awesome.

Beautiful to look at and had some fun puzzles with varied and intriguing scenery. Nature of a puzzle game though is that there's little to no replay value.

If you've played the other The Room games, you'll know generally what to expect here -- it's an escape room-y puzzle game, never gets too crazy so it's fun without getting seriously frustrating. It's about a 3 hour game played blind -- it has a hint system, but I didn't use it so I don't know how beat-you-over-the-head the hint system is.

I was a fan of the mobile The Room games, so when I saw they'd released a VR game I was in for it. I'd say buy it on sale, but I'd say buy any VR game on sale since they're typically shortish for the price compared to normal PC games.

I'd recommend playing seated - I played standing and all it did was make me wander around my room and slowly get closer to the walls since you are on rails with teleport points and do not have free movement, and every time you turn or teleport it resets your position based on where you are physically. Playing seated will keep you from slowly meandering into your desk if you are more used to roomscale experiences. :)

The game's atmosphere might seems like a horror game, but there is no horror or jump scare. Just chill and enjoy.
