Pipe organ - Is there an easier way ? (Minor spoiler)

Trying to get the ball where it's supposed to inside the pipe organ. Is there an easier way than becoming an expert organ pipe handler :) ? This will take me forever...

And just because I asked I instantly noticed you *can* do it in a controlled manner, one key at a tine... duh :)

There seem to be absolutely no hints related to the organ, so I'd appreciate it if someone can tell me what I'm supposed to do here. The hint just keeps telling me to remove the metal circle which is obvious I already knew I had to do that, the question is how to do that. I've been trying for a solid 15 minutes and I'm completely out of ideas. Without any more hints it will be impossible for me to progress any further in the game.
