Horrible Index Controller Binds
I'll get around to writing a review later this week - so far I've played 85 mins, starting last night, and I already know the review is going to be very positive. Even if the game ended now, I know I've had a really great experience.

However, the default Index controls are terrible. The hands work and look good (although there is no individual finger tracking), and grip to hold is okay, but with the current default setup just lightly cradling the handle of the Index controllers has you gripping in game with a vice like grip. The only way to actually not grip appears to be to physically open the hand wide, which feels unnatural. Typically when held the controller is cradled to some degree. Putting things down in game or releasing them is a chore.

It didn’t take much to improve it. I've remapped the grip binding to the trigger. Tonight, when I play again, I'm going to see if I can move it back to the grip but with a much lower sensitivity. If you've played Half-life: Alyx with an index controller, that game has the perfect grip to hold. You want to emulate that level of grab sensitivity.

If I can't get the grip controls working to my liking, then the current bind on the trigger is a hundred percent better than the default and I’ll stick to it. I’d much prefer to get gripping working the way it should. I strongly recommend sorting this out because your default binding are unusable and some players may not know how to rebind their controls.

Yes, they are horribly, especially coming directly from Half-Life: Alyx. I also stopped playing because of the fade-to-black blink turning. But there's a beta to fix that so I'll remap the grab to the triggers and give it a try.
Now I just wish there were an option for smooth movement.
