Missing skill

My miner is at Level 13. When I try to mine iron it says Missing iron mining skill. How do I promote my miner?

Open the panel you use to buy specific work skills and spend the points you've accumulated on iron-mining there.

OMFG i had no idea the specific skill trees existed. Maybe these Devs should put some effort into a basic tutorial...
