Anyone know if this is this bugged atm? I seem to keep getting one-shot when it should only allow about 1/3 of my total health in damage.

If the damage lets say, cannot exceed 10K per hit, and you have 10K life left, you are going to die. It's based on your max life + shield if you have it. This effect it's a nerf if you are playing with life locked.

The same happens if you try to be a smartass and pair that with Aiondë Reaper, that reaper turns your life to 1. Unbreakable Will will say you cannot be dealt more than 1 damage, MORE than 1 damage. If something hits you, it will deal 1 damage, meaning you are dead.

Not the scenario here. I have about 11k hp and am getting tagged for 8k+ when the belt is supposed to be limiting to at most 3500.

Probably just missing secondary sources of damage though I suppose. If it's working for you probably my own issue.

When I was using it, it was exactly what you said. I would get burn damage or some effect and if there was nothing I could get life on hit / leech around (I had no regeneration), the little damage over the long period would do me in. The same thing would happen with shadow clones. Massive amounts of small damage and I had no recovery when enemies weren't around.

That thing also limits just single tick damage - not total number. If you pair it with boots for "make damage over 10 seconds" - it will work bad.

Adam Nostrus' ice beam is a good example of this. It rapidly ticks as long as you're in contact, so even if you limit the max amount per tick, the beam overwhelms your life bar with repeated impacts.

so you need dodge and movement ultimatum to move away alive. When you run through it in opposit direction you get about 1-3 hits.
The game aggregates multiple hits from the same source into a single displayed number, if they happen quickly enough. So if you have 10k health, and arah caps it at 3k, but you get hit by the same source 3 times in 0.5 seconds for the 3k cap each, the game will pop up a 9k on your screen. But looking under the hood it was actually 3k x 3.

ah so is this why those ox/demon head projectiles can sometimes do 10k out of nowhere? it's the only reason ive died a few times so far. just get instagibbed by them sometimes.
