I dont use any special tool, it just work.
No support does not mean Steam not running on this OS. :)
The only difference that now we cant fresh install Steam on Win7 anymore as the installer download the latest build. However old installed Steam work as it only update Steam to last working client.

I will swap to Linux Mint as next OS when Win7 become uncomfortable, Im leaving Windows.
I've been using Linux Mint for awhile and for anyone looking to swap, the level of difficulty will come down to what software, programs and games you are hoping to carry over with you. But for many users who just browse the web, go on Youtube etc, and play games on STEAM, then they should be back up and running in an hour or so. I did have an error trying to install STEAM but fully updating the O.S. resolved the issue. Most games worked out of the box on STEAM, or at the least, I had to swap to Proton 9.x to get the game to run. At most, you might have to experiment with which Proton version works best for some games. But most were just install -> play.
My main issue was that while there are many very simple answers to many of the questions I had, people like posting the complicated answer instead. But for people who just browse the web and use STEAM, none of my issues would apply.
If you have question about Linux check in my thread I linked abow. We have there some friendly Linux user who gladly help with not too difficult answers.
Dont worry about us, we are fine on Win7. :)
Yes, because it was updated until last year because Microsoft extended their support while they fixed most of the issues getting people's PC to update to 11.
It is <extremely> bad to remain on an outdated OS that's connected to the internet, it's fine for an intranet only machine, but it opens you to the absolute worse kinds of security failures that can at the low end brick your machine, and at the high end result in your files and data being stolen.
