Channel obliteration ray and keep moving?
I'll say it now, the game just crushed my dreams :(
Always loved those destruction beam spells, but in Slormancer I have to channel for a few seconds to get it to full power, and also have to suffer a cooldown if I'm interrupted by something (looking at you, silencing witches).
So as I beat the main story and got my 6th stone I realized... The combo I dreamed of simply doesnt work.

What I'm talking about is:
Ray of Obliteration (stand still & channel spell)
+
[Upgrade] Put On Cleats (channel while moving at greatly reduced speed)
+
[Ancestral] Unstoppable Force (make your speed never drop below base value)


Is there any reason I can't use that to move at full speed? Judging from the written descriptions it absolutely must work, and I struggle to see a purpose of that Ancestral passive if it's not meant to synergize like that. Just to protect yourself from slows and stuff?

The "below base value" is when you get debuffed. "Put on Cleats" is not a debuff. The game has a lot of confusing skill and passive effects descriptions. They need to redo their description before release.
