But for now, we really can't promise anything regarding multiplayer as it requires a whole new layer of work and for now our priority is to finish a game, hopefully a quite good one.
Local Coop is more likely to happen than online multiplayer though.
This is only a matter of priority here, not a lack of will :)
I honestly hope you have a great success when it launches and I'm deffo gonna be here to help!
And you never know, maybe with the success it could an implemenation for post-release 1.0 :D
My first thought was: sad I can't try the demo
My second thought was: This reminds me somewhat of Heroes of Hammerwatch which is one of my favorite co-op games, but its fairly dry to play alone. I hope that you can figure out local multiplayer! And I hope that there is as many different forms of progression and meta progression (your town, each of the 3 classes' individual progression benefiting the other class in minor ways) as HoH.
I can have the most fun playing with my wife that does not have the same past with lots of gaming as me.
I would absolutely love if the game had local co-op.
There just aren't enough games offering that.
We even play lower quality games like Hero Siege, just because they have couch co-op.
Looking at who would play the game in local co-op, I think it would mainly be people in the same household. If you have a game with a campaign, it's less likely to be played in local co-op when you have guests. Games with short one time sessions have a better chance of getting picked in such a scenario. But from what i've seen in discussions in other games, I believe there are still a significant number of people who would play such a game in local co-op. And as said, while Steam Remote Play might not be the best (never tried it), it does provide an option to play a "local co-op" game with other people over the internet.
