Use the lootfilter to filter out all blues below and have epics on filter unless, pure stat/highlight stat.
Reforge your Epic/legendaries at the blacksmith to change stats on them/max roll the stat, dont change pure stats or they will lose purity.
Gear that drops with as many stats in each category as possible are the ones to keep for creating a new item piece for your gear set, as far as I know from a few days playing you cant add more stat slots to an item for base stats.
next, each time you leave your beaches/slorm temple go and reinforce your gear that has 100% potential at the slormandrite guy gear at 100% will have a "+" symbol on it in your inventory.
The shopkeepers second box that costs 8000 ish gold can roll epics about 10% maybe higher chance.
I am not completely against this system. I just think they level up too slowly. As I have said, I have used two skills for about 6 hours and they still are not max level. Let's suppose in 7 hours I have max level on the two skills I can equip and let's just reduce 2 hours to account for my pauses, it would still take about 20 hours to get all skills max level, with each class. That is just absurd for me. And while leveling the skills you need to do easier content, change build, etc. Too much of a hassle and grind for me.
I would have preferred if they just used the talent system for the skills too. Just give me points on level up that I can allocate on the skills I want to level up.
Hopefully, this game is not as much of a frenetic mess.
I meant that in 6 hours you are at least on act 4, unless you go really slowly. And in 6 hours you are definitely around level 60, in fact, people can and do get to max level (70) in under three hours when playing a season char (which is what I got used to, so that is kind of my fault).
I do not think D3 is a perfect game nor a great sequel, but for me it is still a good game (in its current state). I was just comparing some aspects I think D3 does better.
Leveling shoould be fun, no ? I know that some people play Kenshi by cheesing the game and attaining high level in strength very quickly. What's the fun in that ?
Although, it is not usable by new players (you need to unlock the blacksmith and get the ressources) as they want you to first discover the skills.
Anyway, some skills requires too much use to increase in mastery. I hope they will take a look a that once they start balancing work.
(And I wouldn't mind a more extensive rework of masteries.)
You're still at the beginning of the game.
Legendary items don't drop before level 35. And even when they start droping, the drop rate is not the same at level 35 than it will be at level 100 (max level at release).
Even if everything becomes available in the first half of the game, everything is not intended to be used as their full potential before the end of the game, so there is room to grow.
There is a need for some variation in the gameplay and the threats for the game to have more depth than a clicker game.
Instead of D3, a good example of a game is D2: there are enemies with immunities forcing to keep options in the build to manage them.
Use the fact you can have up to 7 skills equiped (plus procs) to have a way to deal with every enemy the game can throw at you. Adapt to the challenge instead of expecting the game to be dumbed down. ;)
As a new player, you can't do much about it. You get pretty much no goldus and fragments early in the game so you end up relying a lot on RNG.
PS: When OP asks if there is something in game they haven't seen yet in order to solve an issue, the fact it's not directly usable shouldn't be a reason to not give the answer. It's because it's not directly usable they are asking their question.
