The Slormancer

The Slormancer

What's the best method to Farm Kills with the Slorm Reapers?
I have played at least 70+ hours and have barely unlocked 1 primal reaper. If I'm not mistaken, there used to be an NPC that helped level up, but I can't find it anymore, did they remove it? Also, is there any way to get 42k kill quickly, because having so many weapons to unlock and try, makes me discouraged to continue knowing that each one takes 50-70 hours to have it fully upgraded.

50-70hours? it took me hmm maybe around 3/4 hours to get 1 primal reaper and i was slow. Dont forget.. its a grind game.

Okay, I know it's a grindy game, but even the developers feel that the time the player invests in the game is not commensurately rewarding. What's more, one of the main attractions of the game is the sheer number of weapon options you have, but just to try one takes a lot of work. So, returning to the MAIN QUESTION, there's any optimal way to farm kills for the slorm reapers to make this grindind more appealing?

what ive done is just walking expeditions 1-2 wrath levels under my normal farm-level and grab some movement speed boost, just made sure i onehit even the elite's almost and the movement speed helps you to clear the map faster ofc

maybe they should add that you can see what the primal does so you can decide to level this weapon 50h or not

Much like Diablo, some builds are going to be far better against tougher content, and others are great for speed clearing.

Basically experiment with skills and such until you have something that speeds through Wrath content to your liking and you'll start raking in kills/slorm. Just build around something you can fill the screen with pain - Elder Lance is a great one for Knight to farm up stuff for higher content. Lots of synergies to just fill the screen with lances and kill everything as soon as it spawn. Mage is a lot slower but Arcane Clones and Arcane Breach is a very sedate farming experience. Just go from breach to breach and drop all your spell and move to the next after collecting loot.

There isn't a Diablo sized community (yet) so there's not gobs gobs of build guides, but things accelerate once you find something that fits your play style and has a speed element to clearing.

The best to level a reaper is to play a build that synergies with it. Don't play an inner fire reaper on a RoO mage.
You still can level up reapers that are similar in effect, like fury and most powerful staffs for example.

As for time, took me couple of hours to get 42k kills and only 2h to get the prime to level 100 so it's pretty fast.

There never was such NPC. Even during the demo. :(

First, make sure the primordial is actually something you want.

I've only found a few of the primordial reapers to be worth the grind. Most of them are underwhelming or even weaker than their normal counterparts. I don't really understand the logic behind a lot of the primordial reapers, to be honest.

Regardless, here's what I've found to help:

1) Run the prison battlefield. If it's not available, run one floor of a different one to force it to change until the prison pops. In my experience, the prison tends to have more areas with densely packed enemies and is the easiest to navigate.

2) Invest in the Bravery attribute. It gives you a bunch of movement speed and +bonuses to other stuff you want (gold, slorm, influence). If you're going to grind a primordial reaper, you had might as well grind other stuff at the same time. You can respec in and out of it whenever you want for free.

3) Stack movement speed and attack speed.

4) Choose the highest Wrath level you can handle while still killing enemies in only a few hits. Higher Wrath levels usually throw more enemies at you and generally have more breaches to close per floor.

5) If you receive the Reincarnation cataclysm, skip the breaches and kill everything else in the map. Keep it active as long as possible, basically. The other cataclysms you want to remove as quickly as possible.
