Black Screen Problem: Workarounds

For those of you that have a Black Screen at start up problem.
Here are a various solutions that may or may not work, since right now we can't really do much about it.

Solution A:
Right click on The Slormancer on Steam>Manage>Browse Local Files> and right-click on The Slormancer.exe. Press "Properties">Compatibility>check "Open as Administrator" and "Disable fullscreen optimizations"

Solution B:
Same as earlier, but this time open the options.ini file and change this line:
AlternateSyncMethod=1 to AlternateSyncMethod=0

You also try to set the
SleepMargin=1 to SleepMargin=15

Solution C:
Go to Users>Username>AppData>Local>The_Slormancer and open the config.ini file.
For the line "fs", set the value to "1".
For the line "res", set it to "1".
It should open up the game in a small window where you will then be able to access settings and set your own resolution.

Solution D:
Right click on The Slormancer on Steam>Manage>Browse Local Files> and right-click on The Slormancer.exe. Press "Properties">Compatibility>check "Compatibility Mode" and choose "Windows 8".

Solution E:
If on a laptop, force the use of the Nvidia GC instead of the integrated one.

None of these have worked for me unfortunately.

It seems to work if you change your desktop res to 1080p no higher. Which sucks since I run 1440p with a 120hz refresh... even the graphics options max res setting is 1920x1080 PS this is after doing the first 3 options. Also it may still blackscreen if you turn on FS my advice is use the free Borderless Gaming Program and after changing the game settings to 1080p then add it to Borderless gaming's list to get rid of the white bar at the top since the game doesn't have a setting for Windowed FS. (you can try this at a higher windows res but it doesn't scale up the game window so it messes up the controls if your desktop is not also 1920x1080.)

I finally got the game to start up, but now my framerate is stuck in the low 40's.

I try all solutions but nothing happend. I start game in small window but i don't able to change resolution.

Performed A, B, and then C which finally did the trick for me.

Doing A,B & C worked for me but as heyfunny mentioned it comes with limitations. Switching to FS at any point brings up the blackscreen (which has become a white screen for me now) and caps my FPS to 40. Also since its windowed, i get the white bar at the top. My native resolution is 1440p so either i play it in a smaller window or switch my resolution down to 1080p to make it somewhat fullscreen. It seems my issue relates to that FS mode for some reason.

Also, there seems to be no way to quit the game using a controller once in? The cursor in the option menu doesn't go below lore?

It kinda works for me, but I have to use the default resolution and sometimes I get visual glitches and render freezes (game is working fine since I am still able to perform actions and hear their effect)

Already tried everything but "C" because there is no folder in %appdata%
My game doesn't want to start. The button goes from "Play" to "Play" in a blink.

@majo folder options - show hidden folders. For me only C works but i need to keep it windowed with low fps . If i try and set it fullscreen ingame it goes to blackscreen.
