Once you get HP regen you are nigh invincible.
Unless you are consistently unable to dodge.

Solution could be for it to restore hp only to a certain threshold of max health, say 30%, so you cannot regen back to full while dodging or idling.

I'd wager the existing enemy types would hit harder and faster as a result of cataclysms. I remember one of the campaign missions increasing attack speed of all enemies. That by itself made some of the enemies much more effective at landing attacks.

Why would you go for raw damage when you can stack ele so high and do arcane missle build and a real devastating orb of arcane master build ?

You say that despite the devs nerfing the damage scaling from 10% to 1% (100% vs 1000% at lvl 100)?
Yeah, right now using Manabender is clearly not the best option out there but you're blind if you think it wasn't in the past.
