So
Another like-minded guy.
I think the devs don't really need to listen to people that don't know about any dev pipeline.
For me though, I just want a solid SP experience with a compelling endgame like tiered GRs in Diablo 3.
This game is a dream come true.
I can see the argument for co-op, because playing with friends is usually a good time, but I don't think that it's required for the game to be good. I've spent loads of time playing with my husband where we're playing a game side by side and it's still fun, even if we're not in the same world together.
I saw the term rogue-lite come up in this thread a couple times and I'm not sure why. This game isn't a rogue-lite. It's not trying to be one. If you want something like this with rogue-lite elements then you're probly more in the market for something like Hero Siege as opposed to this.
If you want a multiplayer ARPG, you're spoiled for choice honestly. Multiplayer is by no means required for a game to be fun.
Even if indirectly, like for example Demons Souls note system or Helldivers community campaign.
But while it can be crucial for some genres (rts for example) to have them, an rpg must not.
If you want an ARPG with loot and coop, I recommend taking a look at the upcoming The Ascend.
Same Screen/Split Screen is easier done than coop.
For the first you have a second player in the game that is controlled by another gamepad/keyboard on your pc.
Locan multi is coop in essence. You still need networking for it to work and harder to implement.
