Thank you for providing all this helpful information. Regrettably, we've received feedback from several players encountering issues with movement when using Index Controllers, and we are now actively working on a fix. We will provide more details on this soon and let you know when the issue is resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience!

How long until we get some further information?
Can you provide an expected ETA for a fix on this issue? Is it definitely in the works? It would be a shame to have to get a refund.
This is wrong. Nowhere on the store page does it say anything about Index controllers not working. It's a real shame no one is responding to requests for comment.
Usually, you can make a refund up to 14 days after purchase and up to 2 hours in the game. You did it after two months(?), it's too long.
If you write back to me, remember that I'm not affiliated with the company, and I'm mad at them too. People like not to notice such things.

Normally the game detects which HMD and controllers are plugged in, and adjusts accordingly. But, in case this system doesn't work there is a way to force the game run as if certain HMD/controllers were detected. In order to do so navigate to: %localappdata%\HMDProject\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor Locate and open Game.ini file with a notepad. In this file add following lines:
So, in order to force the game to run as if Vive HMD with Index Controller was detected, following snippet has to be present in
Game.ini file:
[OverideSetting]
HMD=Vive
Controllers=Index
If anyone tried the above and it worked for you, let me know!
Can you please confirm if you are working on this at all? Seems pretty fundamental to be honest! I would really like to play the game - can you please give us a firm date or confirmation you're working on this issue? If not, I would appreciate a refund.
