Is there a way to tell if a planet is hostile?
As the title says is there a definite way of knowing if a planet is hostile before actually going to it.
Trying to get the achievement of having perfect launches for the entire game, but obviously that is down the drain 20mins into the game when you find a hostile planet.

Sure, map and planets characteristics are randomized every game session. And all game events depends on it.

.. and since the dev has mentioned its randomised, seems like its a pure rng luck if you get it and not really down to management of resources ..

There is only one way to check if a planet is hostile - send a satellite.
But damaged satellite counted as success launch. Cuz this isn't your fault. So, just attend on fuel and easily achieve 100% success launches.

So send it as being rocket, fuel and satellite.
See I'm pretty sure I've done that, but i get a notification that it got shot down by the hostile planet. and over the course of the game it comes up as being having 1 or 2 failed launches.

To clarify, what exactly is a failed launch, how does that happen. Because if you're saying that sending a satellite to a hostile planet isn't counted as a fail, where am i getting the 2-3 failed launches from the 2-3 discovered hostile planets

How do you determine that launch is failed? Red icon means nothing. See statistics.

Guess i'll take another crack at it, never noticed it gave you a reason why it failed.

I got the achievement for no failed launches and I had 5 satellites shot down.

Yeh I noticed I found out what was causing the failed launches but I don't understand why it failed
Apparently it says all crew member lost. Even when I send all the appropriate stuff. Everything is white. I send enough warriors to take over the planet, and then fill enough that colonise it at the same time.
Or is that why it fails. Do I need to take over the planet with only warriors and then send people over?
