Optional mission locations?

What missions can the optional missions be unlocked? I found ones on 6 and 12, but haven't found any more (currently on 18). I'm getting tired of wasting turns to check behind every rock formation, etc on each mission to make sure I am not missing any.

Was just about to ask the same question. So far I have gotten the same as yours which is OMission 1 and 2 and Im now at Mission 33 so far and I havent seen any unless they are somewhat inside enemy territory so I might have missed them there.

Optional mission 3 is found in Mission 22. Still looking for others.

Just found Optional mission 5 is on mission 28 so 4 should about somewhere in between.

Okay, Found OM4 at M25.

If you want to check for labs, you can just turn down the difficulty to easy - even if you can't capture them on Easy you can see the entire map and check regardless.

Oh well too late now, since all 5 have been found unless I missed something else.

But still thanks a lot for that, I will try that to recheck the maps since there are 2 more hero units which I have not gotten yet the Spec Ops and Buster Mechanica in between Tsukumo's fortress and Ragnar's red fighter in the hero hangar.

Although I feel like they are only unlockable through other modes or whatever.

OK. So I know the missions where to find the optional missions but how to unlock them?
I have to find a special building if I understand correct, but what sort of? And what do I have to do with the building? Capture it?
Can someone help me plz?
And: Is there an update for new unlockables for the DLC?

Yeah the way it works is specific missions have a "Lab" building. You need to capture it and when you have done so (and cleared the mission) the side-missions will unlock. You cannot capture and unlock the side missions on easy mode, but you can use it to see the whole map.

The DLC Will of the Shogun has three more optional missions, which you can find on M37 (Opt06), M42 (Opt07) and M44 (Opt08).
