Maybe too dark. No epic feelings.
Some places you visit in the game shouldn't be playgrounds.
But that's just my opinion.
It's a good game with challenge.
The game was great, story was great and the characters are memorable. The artstyle is good, map design was good, decent soundtrack, nothing bad i can think of.
1. Before they had a chance to play it, the German media heavily criticized the game, since they expected War Mongrels to be a neo nazi propaganda piece. Of which it's very much the opposite. One day later the official German rating board gave it the 16+ rating with no issues...
2. A few weeks later, when the game released, we got review bombed by Russian players/Putin trolls, because we portrayed the history as it's universally accepted by historians globally. Unfortunately, the Russian schools teach an alternate version of history, in which the Soviets never conspired with Hitler, Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact never happened, and the Soviets were a peaceful nation that tried to "liberate" Poland in September 1939. A lot of these reviews have now been deleted by Steam, but you might find a few discussion threads here on the forum.
So yeah, it was a bit of a mad year, where we've felt like the world had gone crazy.
definitely a must play :)
not alot of new games in this genre around anyways
