Gameplay preview and AI/Stealth mechanics
I've seen the preview and I got interested, but here is a short question: Detection in the current build(?) is dependent on FOV, but will there also be detection through noise at release? Some kills were relatively near other NPCs and it seems a bit too forgiving at times.

Games like this tend to have some oddities in them for the sake of gameplay. A game with truly realistic stealth would have stealth you couldn't possibly make use of.

There is both detection on FOV and based on noise. If enemy hear you he will look into your direction, if you are loud enough he may go investigate what happened.

We are in process of tweaking everything as we are speaking, including noise ranges - but as Caramel Maid said there always will be some oddities.
The hardest job here is to balance those things out and not overdone it.
