Is the game worth buying

So DDA is coming to xbox 1 on March 17. I own and love the original DD1. I do have a few questions.
Does this come with all the dlc from DD1?
Do they plan to add new heroes barb, robot dude ( forgot name), jester and the summoner to DDA?.

Does it come with all the DLC? the answer is no, at least not yet. they are planning on adding most of not all of the content from the original with their own twist. Wether those plans come to fruition is another story though.

As far as i know all the heros at least from dd1 will be added for all to play. i know they talked about potential new heros unique to this game as well, but content comes slow and im sure part of taht is team size and covid but some of it is how to balance new heros. For example summoner had its on Defense unit cap, and they are having issues balancing around that or if they can change it to keep the same feel but not disappoint fans lol

Do i think its worth it? personally yes, but i do have a bias towards the game cuz i loved dd1 and this was a nice return to that. But if you want all the content from DD1 right away or dont like waiting for new patches of content then this might not be for you.

Will the dlc be free. If they don't plan to offer the dlc free I will just pass on this game. Will just hope that it comes to gamepass.

From my understanding anything in the original DD1 game will be free to all players, i dont have enough confidences in my knowledge past that to make a promise on the Devs behalf weather or not all future content will be free. Maybe the guy the dev guy that watches the steam forums will pop in and answer that with a more definitive answer.

Only the EV was free to everyone. They released the first DLC for free, but any subsequent DLC is going to be paid for.

What about the dlc maps mistymire, moraggro desert town,aquanos and sky city. Last 3 is the quest for lost eternia shards. Did the jungle map, turkey hunt, warping core pack, sky o love map. Did any of these make it into the core game for DDA.

None of those are in DDA. If they do make it to DDA, it will most likely be dlc

Episodic Updates: New heroes, maps, features, and so much more released FOR FREE.

@Amicull been a long dry spell on PC for newer content. I will believe it when i see it.
"Episodic" could mean monthly / 6 monthly / yearly! The Devs are frequently vague when it comes to what is happening

DLC for a game only works for the said game.. why would that transfer. DDA is different then DD1 by a lot.

You shouldnt expect DLC to transfer but DD1 and this game are similar enough down to alot of basic design that paying for content that at the very leat it feels like i alraedy owned and payed for even though tis on another game would feel like a rip off.

For example i already purchased Eternia shards DLC from DD! if they make me pay for literally the exact same DLC and they charge a large portion for it i could have just played 1 and skipped this title all together.
Then you run into the issue is that paid DLC splits the community those who do and dont own it. and this community is already small enough as it is lol

U misunderstood what I was trying to say. I wasn't asking if I own DD1 dlc that I would get dda dlc free. What I was hinting at was since this is an old game, all the dlc from dd1 should be part of the DDA based game. A lot of games do this, borderlands for example and even diablo 2 that will be comming out will have LoD in the base game. Trendy games ie now chrmatic games is a shady company. They don't really say anything useful when giving us details.

Uhhh i understood you fine... DLC for one game doesnt move over or unlock for another game. Why would you assume you get free stuff for another game? Its a completely different game. Just cuz i own GTA 5 stuff doesnt mean ill get stuff when 6 comes out. Or having gta4 and i get gta5 stuff. Doesn't work like that unless stated otherwise.

Don't buy it. Just get DD1 Collection and play "redux" branch(or Deathtrap if you like H&S + Tower Def or Sanctum 2 if you like FPS + Tower Def or even BloonsTD 6). This game is faaaaar from being finished. I've supported them on Kickstarter and I really regret it. Buggy mess without a soul, come back in 5yrs and check again if it's done, but it'll be probably abandoned in next year.

The problem isnt he isnt getting GTA 6 and wanting all his stuff from 5...... the problem is he is buying the "remaster" of DD1 and doesn't wanna pay for all the content he already owned or owns lol While this isnt a perfect remaster and they are using time travel mechanics to retell teh story in a new way, its hardly its own game. They clearly wanted to cash in by going back to the first game tahts why they did this. that game was more popular at its peak.

I share those concerns but at its price and the fact i have 300 hours i feel satisfied with my purchase personally if they started launching all the heros tomorrow each one at some $15 price i would stop playing and uninstall this game. Hands down i dont wanna pay for heros and maps iv already played and technically own on DD1 which i do own all the DLC on lol This was the same problem with DD2 its just annoying. I might and i stress might be willing to pay for new content but not old stuff.

What the??... He wasnt talking about buying the remastered of DD1.. Can you not read.. Hes asking about buying DDA and asking if the DD1 DLC gets him anything in DDA... Not about rebuying all for DD1 cuz he has it all already.
