EV will very much become appealing to solo players, because you keep the stats from both weapon loadouts. What this means is the EV can now be an active builder (30% stat boost to tower buff beams) as well as having up to 3 elemental attacks (2 if your pet is just a stat stick.) This means the EV, unlike every other hero, will have no issue with Sirens of any particular element.
True enough. Though I still think it's a bit in the EV's favor given that the stat boost will apply to buff beams, and thus all the towers you're buffing: auras, traps, etc.
Even aside from that, as a pure DPS EV definitely has a huge benefit for solo play given the two weapon loadout. It's kind of my complaint against Sirens, it makes a pretty obvious checkmark to what counters it, which kind of limits our choice. Why would I want to go with the numerically better Huntress, when that Huntress will miss out on some of those Siren drops (which is where all the gear comes from)?
