Game already dead?

I liked DD 2 & never played DD 1. Just saw this & was thinking about buying it but average players 600? https://steamcharts.com/app/1101190

Please give me lots of opinions for this game.

I won't play DD1 anymore, I'll play this. ;-)
I like the game, though I do hope they change a couple of things (like towers shooting the ground when you put them on a cliff/etc)

Yea no doubt its good but I would really like to hear someone specifcally comment on the player numbers rn. I would love to get it but I dont think I would play it much if I had to play it solo all the time.

It is. Even if you played the first DD, this one gives me hope i'll get content much beyond DD1.

I think the Steam stats tell you specifically how many >multiplayer< games are open. The singleplayer ones are not taken into account. But please dont quote me on this one. DD1 had a large follower playerbase, so I'd assume this one has a decent number of players too...

That said, i'm a solo player, so I and many others arent accounted for, i'd suggest just finding friends who play it...

I have bin in games with people no problem, well 1 problem i guess. Most players playing only join Nightmare and above! so there is that. You will have to likely get to the endgame solo, after you reach nightmare though you can likely host and people will join.

I've always been able to easily join a game having said that I've only been playing for a day.

Uninstalled the game and waiting for DLC characters to be released such as the jester, summoner and EV, I can't find DD1 fun without them.

I have absolutely loved the first and second dungeon defenders. This game seems like an extremely fun one as well, i just am unable to play it. it crashes as soon as i click on it. Nevertheless i hope this doesn't happen to you, i am going to continue waiting to see if it gets fixed in the next update.
